ウーマン・イン・ブラック2 死の天使 （Woman in Black The Angel of Death)
レンタルDVD第二弾。
ハリー・ポッターを演じたダニエル・ラドクリフが主演したウーマンインブラックの第二作目。
続編があったなんて知らなった！
今回は、女性の孤児院教師が主役のホラー。
前作から40年が経った、第二次戦争真っ只中が舞台で疎開先の古ぼけた屋敷で次々と不可解な出来事が起こる・・・といったあらすじ。
その屋敷というのが、あの黒い服をきた女の霊の住む屋敷で次々と孤児たちが狙われる。
一人、主人公が特別気にかけている両親の死のショックで失語症となった少年がいて
死を誰よりも間近に感じた彼が女に狙われると主人公は察する。
主人公もあまり人に言えないような闇を抱えており、少年に思い入れがあるのもそれが理由なのかもしれない。
主人公と恋に落ちる操縦士も戦友を失った経験や、あまり人には言いたくない過去がある。同様に、気高な主人公の同僚も誰にも見せない弱さがあった。
前作もそうだったが主人公みんながどことなく暗い表情でどんよりとしていた。
大人も子供も事情があり、表情を曇らせるのが戦争なのかもしれないとホラーとはまた別のところで感じたことだった。
素直な感想としては、とにかく画面が暗い！！
他のレビューでもあったりしたが、とにかく暗くてほとんど何が行われてるのがわからなかったのが残念・・・観るときは、部屋を真っ暗にしたほうがいいのかもしれない。
続編のある映画によくあることだけど、正直1作目のほうが面白かったし、エンディングがショッキングだった。
今回ももちろんビクッとするシーンは何回かあったけど、そこまで効果的ではなく・・・どちらかというと音で怖がらせるタイプなのでジワジワとくる恐怖感が好きな人としては残念ではあった。
Watched another DVD I've rented!
This time it's a sequence of the Woman in Black. I watched the first one featured Daniel Radcliffe from Harry Potter.
Honestly, I preer the first one better than the second one which usually is the case for every movie that has sequcnces..
The movie was set during the World War Two, 40 years after the first one.
The teachers at orphanage took a few kids away from London to a countryside to escape the war. There, they had stay at this eery mansion - which happens to be the mansion a ghost of the Black Widow haunts.
Because of the Widow, the children are victimised one by one.
There's one boy who lost his voice due to the shock he got from losing his parents. The main character gets pretty attached to him, possibly because of her complicated past.
Her instinct tells that the ghost is targeting the boy, and she feels urged to protect him.
All the characters have complicated feelings and past that they don't wish to tell anyone.
It was the same in the first movie too, but all adults and children had somewhat groomy faces. That made me think maybe that's what it means to be in the war.
As for my honest review of the movie though, the screen was too dark for the entire time that I couldn't tell what the hell was happening.
So I'd recommend to close your curtains, switch off the light and watch the movie in an entirely dark room.
Also, I felt there were more jumpy scenes in the first one. There still were few "jumpiness" in the second one too, but like previous one, they tend to use loud sound effect to scare the audience - which I didn't like about.
Anywhoo, that is my review of the Woman in Black 2.
